History
In 1220, Sir Ralph Gernon decided that the hamlet of Leez, in a dip by the banks of the River Ter, would provide the perfect location on which to found his monastery. His Augustinian priory thrived for over 300 years until King Henry VIII sent Sir Richard Rich to dismiss the monastery. When Sir Richard Rich became the Earl of Warwick, he built his own great house on the site that is now known as Leez Priory.
In the years that followed, the mansion has been home to the Earls of Warwick and has been visited by Queen Elizabeth I, Princess Mary and many other nobles from the past.
In his recent book on the origins of the English Civil War, John Adamson has emphasised the magnificence and political radicalism of Leez Priory in the 17th century. He concludes that in 1640 Leez and its owner, Robert Rich, 2nd Earl of Warwick, were probably the “topographical and moral centre” of opposition to the King.[1]
Much of it was demolished in 1753.
In the late 1980s, Leez Priory was purchased by its current owners, The Country House Weddings group. In May 1995, Leez Priory became the first country house in England to be granted a licence to conduct civil ceremonies.[2]

1: THE CLASSIC WEDDING VIDEO: £695
Service begins with attendance at the brides house to capture preparation and photoshoot of bridal party, then on to full Church/civil ceremony, with informal filming during the Photographs being taken after, on to the reception to film guest receiving line, speeches, the cutting of the wedding cake, and concluding after the first dance.
2: THE DELUXE WEDDING VIDEO: £795
This service provides 3 copies of your wedding video. Begins with attendance at the brides house to capture preparation and photoshoot of bridal party, then on to full church/civil ceremony, with informal filming during the Photographs being taken after, on to the reception to film guest receiving line, speeches, the cutting of the wedding cake, and the first dance, filming of the evening celebrations, and its atmosphere until 10:30 pm (Additional hours £50 per hour) you will receive 1 copy for the Bride & Groom plus 2 FREE COPIES for their families.
3: THE PREMIER WEDDING VIDEO: £1095
Includes all the great features of the DELUXE VIDEO, 2 FREE COPIES etc. Filming until 10:30 pm. But for your special day Two Cameramen will be in attendance until 10:30 pm capturing all those magic moments, providing the ultimate coverage of your wedding day.
£95 extra to film and edit a HD Blu-Ray Disc
Additional Copies of your HD Blu-RayDisc are priced at £45 each.
Additional Copies of your Wedding DVD are priced at £15 each.
